Anti-Scuff Helicopter Skids
Chopper pilots make so many “crash ‘n’ dashes” (often on blacktop) that they wear holes in their skids. To protect the skids, slip pieces of inexpensive vinyl hose pipe over them (as shown). The vinyl will take the wear, and it’s inexpensive to replace. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
