Ballast Dump Valve
Great for scale sailplanes—releasable water ballast. Dump valve cut from brass or tin plate, with tube bushing soldered on. Spring wire nips surgical rubber tube to seal off. Servo retracts pin, allowing spring to lift and dump content of water-filled balloon. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume I, an Air Age Media publication.
