Budget Parts Holder
If you don’t have a fancy holding jig for soldering wires and electronic components, you can easily create this budget setup. Take a heavy metal C-clamp and secure a pair of pliers in it as shown. Wrap a rubber band or two around the pliers’ handles and you have a sturdy holder for all sorts of soldering jobs where another tight grip is needed.
