My friend and flying buddy Matt Rodmell owns a full-size 1942 L-4A Grasshopper. His plane was originally designated as an O59A observation plane and was manufactured on April 13, 1942. It served from May 2, 1942 at DeRider AFB, as part of the 13th Observation Squadron until it was transferred to Baton Rouge AFB on June 3, 1942 where is remained until March 4, 1950.
