Fitter’s Finger Plate
This Fitter’s Finger Plate is roughly 2x3 inches and can be hand-held or screwed to a bench edge. Made of 3/16-inch steel, aluminum, or even wood, it’s ideal for holding small parts while filing and drilling. A lightweight spring is useful but not necessary, and the slots hold tube, wire, etc. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
