Flaps and Pilot Workload
Using flaps on a giant-scale model will drastically change its flight characteristics. Using flaps throughout your landing approach will help you set up the proper landing angle and keep the model stable while speed decreases. Coupled with throttle and elevator input, it allows you to be more consistent during landings. I prefer to use a three-position switch for the flap function.
