Get a Grip! I was looking for a method to separate XT60 or XT90 connectors after flight, because you should never pull on the wires and the connectors don’t leave much surface to get a good grip on. I modified a set of standard wood clothespins as shown by sanding off the tips and beveling them at a 45-degree angle.
