Landing-Gear Slot
Cut a slightly oversized slot for your landing-gear block, and line it with a 1-ounce glass-cloth and epoxy resin. While the resin is wet, press in the epoxy-coated gear block. The glass-cloth bonds to the balsa sheeting and spreads the landing gear stresses into the balsa wing skins instead of localizing them along two narrow glue lines that eventually will crack.
