PHOTOS BY JOHN REID GO BIG WITH THIS SLOW BUT DEADLY GIANT-SCALE DIVE-BOMBER THE SCOUT BOMBER FROM DOUGLAS employed during World War II is called the Dauntless, and the most produced variant, the SBD-5, was constructed at Douglas's new Tulsa, Oklahoma, plant, where some 2,400 were produced. This version had a 1,200hp engine and increased ammunition capacity. A few were shipped to the British Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm, but these were never used operationally....
