New Indigenous Turkish Fighter ‘Kaan’ Revealed in Formal Rollout
At the May 1 unveiling of the new 5th-generation Turkish fighter, president Recep Tayyip Erdogan formally named the country’s indigenous TF-X fighter “Kaan”, a Turkish term for king of kings that dates to the rein of Genghis Khan, saying it represents a “dream that the nation had been pursuing since the foundation of the Republic.” The aircraft slowly taxied in front of a crowd of Turkish Aerospace workers and their families at Turkish Aerospace’s facilities....
