Here’s an unusual, but logical method of attaching your pilot figure. Cut slots in the mounting platform and tightly loop nylon cable ties through the platform and over the pilot’s shoulders. The white ties look like regular seat harnesses; if you don’t like the color, dip them in fabric dye, or buy black or gray ties. (Try Radio Shack).
