Pilot Projects – Delta Vortex

Joe converted his Bruce Tharpe kit from glow to electric, extending his flying wing’s engine housing to create a cowl for the power components from a damaged E-flite V1200. Joe writes, “Steering and two rudder servos work independently. The differential is electronic and the rudders can turn inward, acting as air brakes.” The Vortex uses 48-ounce Futaba 3102 servos, Spektrum radio, and 6S battery pack.
