Self-Draining Cockpit

If your plane is caught in a sudden shower, an open cockpit might fill with water. A similar risk exists from floatplane spray. To minimize that possibility, install a floor with a drinking-straw drain at the lowest point; then, thoroughly waterproof the area with epoxy or urethane finish.
