Soviet Monster Amphibian Ekranoplan
The Ekranoplan was originally developed by the Soviet Union as a high-speed military transport based on the Caspian and Black Seas. The largest had a max take-off weight of over 544 tons. About 120 Ekranoplans were initially planned to enter military service in the Soviet Navy. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, smaller Ekranoplans for non-military were reportedly in development.
