Spring-Loaded Differential Brake-Steering Slaved to Aileron Horns

Spring-Loaded Differential Brake-Steering Slaved to Aileron Horns
If you are setting up a plane and are running short on channels or using an old 2-channel radio, differential steering is possible with only two channels (aileron, elevator). “Tire Plonker” brakes connected to aileron horns provide differential braking like full-size airplanes. Springs must be very light to avoid excess servo load. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume I, an Air Age Media publication.
