Strut-Attachment Field Repair
Try drilling out your strut-attachment plate and inserting a wall anchor nut. Refitting the strut and tightening the screw makes the nut expand inside the wing, so the fixture will be permanent. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
