USAF Introducing Drag-Reduction Aircraft Mods to Save Fuel & Money

The U.S. Air Force plans drag reduction modifications to its Boeing C-17, KC-135 and Lockheed Martin C-130 aircraft to reduce fuel burn and maximize combat capability. The mods include pylon fairing modifications shown in the first two photos, as well as the addition of small vanes and finlets to the aft fuselage of the aircraft.
