Ballast Slugs
Cigar tubes filled with lead and marked as shown are ideal ballast slugs for sailplanes. Some glider guiders attach loops to the tubes so that the slugs can be easily removed with a long wire hook. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
