For smoother running, those delightful, vintage-style Trexler balloon wheels need metal or nylon bushings in their wooden hubs. To prevent the bushing from being plugged with epoxy as you push it through the hole in the hub, poke its end into a bar of soap to make a neat, easy-to-remove soap plug that will prevent glue from entering.
