Flare Those Tubes
A simple wat to prevent fuel, clunk, or retract lines from slipping off the end of brass tubes is to flare the ends of the tubes—achieved by forcing a Phillips screwdriver into the tube and twirling it or, as we do, by standing the tube on a metal block and gently tapping a center punch into the ends.
