Model airplane engines can trace their history to back before WW I. Then in the early free-flight days of the 1930s, model “gas engines” were refined and were welcomed by a new generation of eager model airplane builders. The majority of these engines burned gasoline and utilized spark ignition systems and spark plugs. The Ohlsson 60, Dennymite 57, Baby Cyclone 36, and Brown Jr. were the first commercially successful engines and they enjoyed great popularity....
