Hatch Latch

Here’s an almost-ready-made, spring-loaded, hatch latch: an empty ballpoint-pen cartridge. Two pieces of brass tube (a) are the bushings, and they’re glued below the hatch structure. Note that the spring has been positioned behind the two ears (b) on the cartridge. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
