Pilot Project: Mooney 120
An enlarged version of Jerry Nelson’s 1967 RC Mooney, this 120 percent semiscale sport aerobat has an 87-inch wingspan and is powered by an RCGF 30cc twin gas engine turning a wooden 3-blade Xoar prop. Jerry Nelson actually designed the prototype model using digital drawings and illustrations, and Randy built it, covered it with Koverall and Silkspan, and created the stunning scheme with polyurethane paint.
