Novel Wing Building Method
This novel wing-building method combines the advantages of foam-core and built-up construction. The root end has a foam-core filling between the spars, and it’s sheeted like a regular foam wing. Retracts can be mounted in the usual manner. This hybrid construction gives a stiff root and lighter open-structure tips that allow crisp rolling maneuvers owing to lower outer wing mass.
