An old shipwright’s trick: if your plane’s wing or tail tips are made of balsa segments, drill through them as shown, then insert glue-coated toothpicks and sand them flush. On smaller models, you can use bamboo pegs stripped from window shades or chopsticks. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
