Propeller Protection

365, Propeller Protection (How to)
In the early 1900s, airplanes had a skid under the nose to prevent the propeller from coming into contact with the ground. R/C beginners can use the same idea. Use 1/8-15/32-inch-diameter music wire to make this skid, and bolt the motor mount. Make it just long enough to allow the model to come up to the horizontal position. Adapted from 400 Great R/C Modeling Tips by Jim Newman, Volume II, an Air Age Media publication.
