Sealing Spoilers

Spoilers should be sealed against air leakage. Use clear cellophane tape and apply as shown. Leave a 3/16-inch overhang, and carefully remove the adhesive with paint thinner. To allow the tape to be sprung against the wing when the spoiler blade is closed, bend the flapped edge down slightly by rubbing your finger along the edge. The spoiler hinge isn’t shown.
